Thursday Night UEFA Cup Part 1
by Matt on Nov.27, 2008, under Selections
There are a few interesting picks tonight.
The stand out one being in the Club Brugge v St Etienne match. Club Brugge’s home record – 4-2-0 and St Etienne’s away record – 0-1-6. St Etienne are way clear at the top of the group with qualification likely; and desperately need a win in Ligue One game at the weekend (vs Nancy, hovering just above the relegation zone).
Its important for new manager Alain Perrain (erstwhile Pompey) to arrest their dreadful League form, and the UEFA will be a secondary concern tonight.
Brugge are top of their domestic league and in good form, and a win here would put them in a strong position in the group.
