Tottenham v Blackburn; an inform Tottenham will be keen to bounce back from defeat to Fulham against an underperforming and out of sorts Blackburn, where Paul Ince is yet to make an impression. Spurs represent value at 4/5.
Tottenham v Blackburn
Tottenham @ 4/5 (Coral)
Man City v Arsenal. Both teams great going forward and not good at the back. Two of the highest scorers in the Premiership (Arsenal 25, City 26) but also porous defences (Arsenal have conceded 15 in 13, Man City 22 in 13). Just can’t see a shut out here, and as neither team want to lose, one goal will open it up and bring more.
Man City v Arsenal – over 2.5 goals @ 1.8 (Betfair)
I like to bet with trends and one definite one is Everton’s upturn in form. Wigan are unpredictable and inconsistent whereas Everton have rediscovered their touch of winning closely fought matches. Everton’s last five games have been 1-1, 3-1 (away to West Ham), 1-0, 1-0 (away to Bolton), 1-1 (with Man Utd) – so not only on good form, but keeping things tight – and winning away from home.
In this game (on Monday) I’d recommend both:
LAY Wigan @ 2.64 (Betfair)
Under 2.5 goals @ 1.81 (Betfair)
